Miscellaneous scans: Part 1

This post is also known as - odds and ends: scanning edition. I have a few major projects in the pipeline which are going to slow down my posting quite significantly. So I thought I'd make a post with a few of the more interesting bits and pieces I have lying around.

I like this alternate costume for Sakura, so I've put it in for no particular reason.
It's unused  apparently this is available as a mod or DLC?
Why the fuck was I not informed.

Comission - Metal Slug

Metal Slug, is a A grade arcade classic - so far it's run for about seven games starting in 1996 with a few spin off's here and there. Once in a blue moon when I pass through the arcade I usually play a round or two of this. Sure I get hammered after the first few stages to the tune of about ten bucks but hey - thats arcade gaming. 

Alternately I'm no good at Metal Slug.

Release #103 - The Legend of Zelda

[Strange Scans] takes it back to the (N64) classics with a release featuring none other than Zelda - 'NISEゼルダの伝説 真章'. I loved The Ocarina of Time on the n64 as a kid - it was just mind blowing from the first moment I played it in store. And then Majora's Mask after it? What an amazing followup. I'm sure most people will say OOT was better because it was the first one they played - but come on, MM was such a complex and quality sequel. Is there a poll for this somewhere I wonder?

PS: Does anyone remember the quest for that one zelda doujinshi a few years ago? It was like the holy fucking grail, and then some guy found it randomly in Tokyo.

Comission - The Misadventures of Tron Bonne

You know Tron Bonne, right? She's already had her own game on the PSX and she's in the (kind of) recent Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as a playable character. Anyway, she has a really cool reporter outfit on in one of the missions of the PSX game. Tron in glasses?

Release #103 - SHD Powerful Magical Girl Sweet Leona [Translation]

[Strange Scans] revisits the classic muscle girl artist SHD yet again with 'Powerful Magical Girl Sweet Leona'. Here's a hint, don't clean a doujinshi and then send off the uncleaned raw. You'll have to do it all over again, it was worth it though.

As a side note though - I don't want to be too nitpicky but has anyone ever noticed how the same kind of written content goes in every doujinshi? I should compile a list of most used words and phrases some day, it gets pretty ridiculious sometimes. Maybe my standards are skewed and I want more plot than porn?

Release #102 - Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

[Strange Scans] is proud to present - a Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei doujinshi - 愛のあびる伝説! If you don't know of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, you should really go give it a watch. It's really quite good (and therefore) worth your time. You could also read the manga but from memory the translation was stalled after a few volumes.

Release #101 - Street Fighter

[Strange Scans] takes the fight to the streets with a doujinshi of an arcade classic - Street Fighter! (Also the title is 'PULP crybaby Sakura') the circle is PRETTY DOLLS who seem to have a fetish for Sakura and the impact font. Not that I don't like Sakura mind you - I mean I enjoy Chun Li doujinshi as much as the next person but there are other characters. Like Karin, Elena, Makoto - Poison?

Release #100 - 沙村広明 Sister Generator

[Strange Scans] hit's one hundred releases in style with a first, a tankobon release! This is a collection of six stories by Samura Hiroaki released in 2009 (Which is pretty recent for my scanning). I am not aware of it being translated, despite the baka updates cover having english text. It seems that the first chapter has been done, but I can't find it anywhere. It may have been already scanned somewhere, I could have sworn I saw a page or two from this floating around a while back but I'm not sure.

It was pretty exhausting to scan coming in at 213 pages. I decided to push the quality further too, so the pages are 1400x which pushes the overall size to enormous. (544mb). Don't let you put that off though, it really is worth a look. I don't usually do this but I've put some sample pages down below.
