Release #100 (Re-release) - 沙村広明 Sister Generator

I scanned in a Hiroaki Samura tankobon back in 2011 but there was a few technical issues with the release. Mainly in that it was fucking huge and I didn't have the time to re-jig it.

So after, far - far too long I've gone back and squeezed it down to 190mb - which isn't too bad if you consider that instead of my usual standard of 1200x I went further to 1400x. I hope that you the reader, can appreciate the extra effort I went to to make sure that this release is archival quality.

I actually bought this back in 2010 at the suggestion of, Hox but it seems it's taken me until 2013 to get this released at a decent quality :V what the heck.

Release #002 Part Two - [Translation] Final Fantasy IX

[StrangeScans] is at it again with an english release of a Final Fantasy IX doujinshi - 'Brilliance'!

This release was possible only with the help of the reknowned Desudesu, thanks again!

Can you beleieve how many FF9 doujinshi there is out there? Granted they're all from 2001 - 2003 but it's enough to keep me busy - anyway. Enjoy!

Two years running and mediafire

I like to think that in some small way [Strange Scans] is chewing through the unimagineable backlog of untranslated and unscanned material that's out there - and while it's been a lot of work. It's been a lot of fun too. It turns out that as of today it's been two years worth! (of fun and work)

Thanks first and foremost to the circles in Japan who've put out the work which is being scanned and editied. Thank you reader for passing through wether you've been keeping an eye on things since the first post or you're stumbling through a year after this post has been made. (it happens!)

For the first comission of the year I went with none other than Ganassa. An amazingly high quality artist straight outta Hentai Foundry. I've been eyeing off comissioning Ganassa for a while now, the syle he has going on is really nice! (And that is of course how I pick artists)

Release #059 Part Two - [Translation] Final Fantasy IX

[Strange Scans] scores a trifecta with the completion of a Final Fantasy IX doujinshi trillogy! Published by the circle Sougetsu Kagekidan in 2009/2010 they explore the relationship between Mikoto and Kuja after the events of the game have transpired. The translation for this was done by UMAD, thanks guys!

I don't par-tic-ularly agree with this pairing, at all. But considering that it's been over a decade since Final Fantasy IX was released I'll take what I can get.

(Archive) junk*garden - The Incomplete (Final Fantasy VII) (Translation)

Back in 2008 a group called Deja Vu released a translation of a five part manga by junk*garden. The manga - known as 'The Incomplite" (Although I'm calling it the incomplete because we know what they meant) presented an alternate timeline of Final fantasy VII where Zack Fair was the main character instead of Cloud Strife.

Unfortunately it appears Deja Vu has well and truely gone under, the last release from them is from august 2008 and the website they're hosted on (mangaSOS) is dead as are their hosted downloads. It took about fifteen minutes of wading through dead links and russian websites websites to find a thai forum with a mediafire link of this. 

Well we're not taking that kind of shit around here! 

I've re-uploaded this on E-hentai and mediafire to get this interesting peice of work out there.

Release #049 Part Two - [Translation] Final Fantasy IX

[Strange Scans] is quick off the mark in the year of the snake with a Final Fantasy IX doujinshi. (Previously seen all the way back in Release #049) The translation for this one was done by the ever high quality Rinruririn of the Little White Butterflies. (They do lots of really great stuff, give them a look!)

This one has only taken what... three months shy of two years from scan to translation? Also it was released in 2000 so technically I'm another ten years after the orginal release.
