[Strange Scans] is proud to present for the first time a high definition re release.  This one time only pack consists of releases #002 #003 #004 #009 and the post modern classic #010.

Seriously though I was flipping through some of my earliest releases and well, I'll admit they aren't my best work. So I went back and cut them again from the raws at a higher size 780px -> 1200px and saved them in PNG 24 as opposed to jpeg. This of course means that the file size has also gone up a fair bit so 56k beware, but if you want these in a better size then look no further.

Black Magic M-66: Part 1

Okay so lets have a look at some items I have in my collection that I probably won't be scanning. The focus of this post is (spoilers within this link) Black Magic M-66 a OVA from none other than Masamune Shirow.

So you may be wondering why I've been quiet the last few weeks.

Well, I've had a pretty big computer upgrade. Changed OS (XP -> windows 7) and lost my old copy of photoshop. So I've spent the last few days getting everything back together, re-installing all of my old programs, and unstalling and triming a ton of junk that seems to come with everything (I'm looking at you msn)

It'll be business as usual in a while and I have some really nice quality stuff to get through. Until then though please stick around and enjoy the scenery and/or filler posts that I make until I get things up and running again.

A Metal Gear Solid (2) doujinshi 'Survival File 3' Look at that art, look at it. I've loved Yoji Shinkawa's work ever since I saw it in a games magazine in my youth. Also a lot, of the MGS doujinshi out there are yaoi - like half. Enjoy!

Release #063 - Final Fantasy IX

[Strange Scans] is proud to present, another Final Fantasy IX doujinshi - Thief of Knowledge. At one point I had hoped to collect all FF9 doujinshi, but the pool is a lot deeper than you might think.This guy has gotten pretty far but the site has been dead for a year or so now, oh well.

Demolition Seraph, a Ghost in the Shell/Dominion Tank Police/Black Magic/Orion ... okay a Masamune Shirow centric doujinshi! From all the way back in 1996/7 (two dates exist in it so take your pick) These scans were done by the now defunct Euphoric-Visions site, so all hail them for the okay scans.

Release #057 Part Two [Translation] - Touhou

[Strange Scans] gives you a triple A rated dose of ℳℴℯ with this stunning Touhou doujin - Stray Cat Girl Time. Also yes it did take a bit longer than usual, but some of the SFX was just a pain in the ass.
